Clubs and Societies

There's more to university than just studying.

Joining a club or society at Queen's is the perfect opportunity to meet new people, keep up your interest in a passion or, even better, to find a brand new one you never knew you had.

With over 200 clubs and societies, all of them student-led, there's something for everyone here at Queen's.

Why Join a Club or Society at University?

It's a great way to settle in and find new friends. In a club or society, you'll find people who share your interests or bond with others over finding a brand new hobby.

Develop new skills and build your CV with the opportunity to run for leadership positions in our clubs and societies. Being in a club or society can also help build towards the Future-Ready Award.

Step out your comfort zone and try new things. Going to university and potentially moving away from home for the first time comes with lots of new-found freedom. Try new things and discover who you are!

Academic and Educational

At Queen's, most of our departments have a student-led society where you can dive deeper into your chosen subject, connect with peers and bring your learning outside of lectures and seminars.

From the Law Society, Biomedical Sciences and Human Biology Society, and Engineering Society to the History Society, Philosophy Society, and Psychology Society, there’s something for nearly every field.

If you're not studying a particular subject but want to explore the society associated with it, many of our academic societies are open to all students giving you the chance to explore new interests, attend events and network with other Queen's students.
